School Resource Officer Joins the EHS Team

Today we welcomed Amanda Reeves from the Enumclaw Police Department to the Enumclaw High School campus! EPD Officer Reeves will be stationed part time at EHS serving as School Resource Officer, moving to full time in 2019. Her face is likely familiar to many EHS parents and students as she often attends the football games and other community gatherings to provide crowd safety.

Officer Reeves’ role on campus during the school day is to ensure safety in accordance with the law while also getting to know the staff and students. Having a member of the Enumclaw Police Department on our campus allows a substantial connection between our work and theirs.

Principal Aaron Lee shared, “We love having a school safety expert from the EPD adding to the new security measures in place in our new building. With Officer Reeves on board, we have a significant level of safety and security to help ensure that all of our students and staff know that their well-being is a top priority.”

Amanda Reeves hails from the Pacific Northwest and graduated from Auburn Riverside High School. She is an accomplished athlete, playing softball for both University of Washington and Idaho State. Amanda is a hardworking mom to a four year old daughter and enjoys being around children of all ages. She joined the EPD in 2016 and recently attended School Resource Officer training. On her first day at EHS, Officer Reeves’ friendly smile has been highly visible, and she is making it a priority to get to know EHS students.
