Enumclaw Middle School Orchestra

The Enumclaw Middle School ORCHESTRA was amazing at the Green River Music Region Contest held at Auburn Mountainview High School. All three judges scored the group with a (I) which is a SUPERIOR RATING. If you've never been to a band or an orchestra contest, let me take you there. After we play, a judge comes up and gives a 'Master Class' of sorts where feedback (praise and correction) is done for all (the audience) to hear. The tips and wisdom of the professional musician are immediately tried by the ensemble to enhance their tone, clear up a rhythm, and help their overall musicianship. Here are some of the comments we received:

"Very mature and focused"

"Very few issue with intonation...keep up the obviously hard work in this area"

"1st violins are super strong! The rest of the group is very close...keep going in that direction!"

"Interpretation is a real strength in your director. Very impressive"

"Superb tone!"

"This performance was solid and well prepared, but I sense that this group is ready to move beyond this level of difficulty. I'm not being critical, your work is outstanding but I want to encourage you to 'step up' to the next level...it awaits you."

 "Very impressive program!! "

If you would like to hear the EMS ORCHESTRA play, come to the Jamie Laval, Celtic Violinist concert on Thursday night at 7pm in the EHS gym...a fundraiser extravaganza that benefits MUSIC EDUCATION in the Enumclaw Schools.
