State of Education Address

On Thursday, January 27th, Superintendent Mike Nelson will be presenting his fourth annual State of Education Address.  He is looking forward to sharing the wonderful work that our district has done during the past year and sharing a bit about the future!

This year, Mr. Nelson will be trying something new.  He will be demonstrating technology; embedding it purposefully within his speech...Skype, Smart Board, Document Camera, Audience participation using clickers.  His topic content, when using the technology, will be our district work.  This will be a way for us to share with the community what technology will be coming to our classrooms as a result of the technology levy that was passed by voters.  We are so, so very grateful for this first-ever passage of a technology levy in our system!!

We would love to see a crowd filled with staff, parents, students and community members! The State of Education Address begins at 7:00 pm in the EHS auditorium until approximately 7:45 pm.  All attendees are invited to the library after for a beautiful spread of goodies made by our Culinary Art students!!  The Friends of the Library will also be holding their used book sale during this time.  Come hear about the district...have some goodies with a great cup of coffee and peruse the books!

We look forward to seeing you there!
