Ford/AAA Hands-on State Competition

Contributed by Jerry Globe, EHS Automotive Instructor:

For the first time ever, two Enumclaw students, K. Gramley and T.J. Thompson, qualified for the Ford/AAA Hands-on State Competition. The competition was Tuesday, and they finished in 10th place.

This was the first time Auto III technology students took the qualifying exam. Well over six hundred students took the qualifying test statewide, and these two students not only qualified for State, but their combined score earned them 7th place in State. They have also received several scholarship offers because of this event.  To read a press release, click here.

I would like to give special thanks to Fugate Ford and their Service Manager Pat Wynn for donating several hours one evening to work with the kids on a 2011 Mustang.
