EHS Drama Receives Recognition at 5th Avenue High School Musical Theatre Awards



We are pleased to announce that our spring production of The Drowsy Chaperone has received recognition in the Statewide 5th Avenue High School Musical Theatre Awards.  Out of more than 85 schools we received honorable mentions in three categories!

-Outstanding Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role
D. Chevassus for "Man in Chair"

-Outstanding Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role
 C. Johnson for "The Drowsy Chaperone"

-Outstanding Performance by an Actress in a Featured Ensemble Role
 K. Olds for "Trix the Aviatrix"

We also garnered two nominations in specialized categories for Outstanding Orchestra and Outstanding Program Design!

We will be travelling to Benaroya Hall on Monday, June 6th to celebrate our success along with all the other schools in a televised awards ceremony that will feature D. Chevassus, C. Johnson, K. Olds, and A. Unguez performing onstage in the Opening Musical Number!  It's going to be great!


And don't forget our last play of the year: The Tempest by William Shakespeare.  Adapted for all ages, this one hour long performance features 25 students, monsters, kissing, shipwrecks, magic spells, swords, revenge, thunder, forgiveness, lightning, and Mountain Dew.
