Hornet Sports Weekend results

Congratulations to all of our student athletes and coaches for their hard work and dedication all season long.  Here are the results from this weekend:

The EHS Judo Team finished 2nd in State at this weekend’s Pacific Northwest High School Judo Championships

#1 Kentridge H.S. 108

#2 Enumclaw H.S. 62

#3 Kentwood H.S. 39

#4 Kent-Meridian H.S. 29

#5 Kentlake H.S. 22

Freshman C. Brocx was third place in her division. K. Schlager was 6th, L. Pacey was 5th and S. Thomas was 3rd in the biggest women division of the day. Freshman J. Conrad was 4th in her division with Enumclaw’s returning state champion, sophomore S. Williams who is now a two state champion. First year senior V. Gonzales was 7th in the division with sophomore J. Paterson who is now the champion in that division.

In the Men’s Divisions, Freshman N.  Nyugen took 4th place his division. Senior A. Luthi took 4th place in his division. Senior E. Hines is the State Championship in his division. Senior J. Cooper places 2nd in his division.

Senior C. Hanrahan is the State Champion in his division. He was also the recipient of the Dr. George L. Wilson Scholarship which is given every year to Judo players that exhibit the true spirit of Judo.

The Girls Water Polo Team finished 7th in State at this weekend's State Water Polo Tournament, beating Puyallup 8-5 in Saturday's consolation game.

The Hornets lost to third place finisher Wilson 9-8 on Wednesday, and to fourth place finisher Auburn Riverside 3-2 on Friday.

This was the Hornets' sixth consecutive trip to the State tournament.

Freshman goalkeeper M. Lesmeister received Honorable Mention All-State honors for her performance at the tournament.


The Hornet Baseball season came to a close last Saturday in Bellevue.

The team began the day with a 19-2 victory over Meadowdale, advancing to the championship game in regionals vs. Mount Si.

The team lost, 6-2, to Mount Si to end their season.

Thanks so much to the coaches and players—you gave us a great ride all season!
