EHS Music and Sports Students Heading to State!



EHS Music

Congratulations to over thirty Enumclaw High School music students who participated in sixteen solos and ensembles at the Green River Music Region Orchestra Contest on Saturday, February 11th, 2012. Out of the six categories, Enumclaw High School won four of the coveted top spots allowing these winners to advance to the State level competition in April at Central Washington University. Overall, Enumclaw was awarded 32 Superior ratings and 12 Excellent ratings at the contest.

Category - Small Strings Ensemble : EHS Violin Duet (A. Hudon and K. Dirks)
Category - Large Strings Ensemble: EHS Tango String Quintet (A. Hudon, A. Johnson, K. Dirks, L. Lamm and N. Kays)

2nd Alternates:
Category - Violin Solo: A. Hudon
Category - Small Strings Ensemble: EHS String Quartet "The Secret Ones" (A. Wolfe, A. Johnson, M. Jarvis and K.  Wells)

**Alternates mean that if a space becomes available from another region not being able to produce a winner in that category, alternates are picked up to fill the spot.

Boys Wrestling:
1st in Regionals
Next up - State at the Tacoma Dome, 2/17 and 2/18.

Girls Wrestling:
3rd in Regionals
Next up - State at the Tacoma Dome, 2/17 and 2/18.

Girls Gymnastics:
1st in Districts
Next up - State at the Tacoma Dome Exhibition Center, 2/17 and 2/18.

Boys Swim and Dive:
5th in Districts
Next up - State at the King County Aquatic Center, 2/17 and 2/18.
