10/7/2013

Congratulations to Amy Weber Cantrell, Enumclaw High School Art Teacher! It is with great pleasure that we share the following news.

The Board of Directors of the Washington ART Education Association announced the 2013 recipients of their annual Art Education Achievement Awards. These annual awards are WAEA’s way of recognizing outstanding professionalism, service, promotion and support of the arts by individual art educators in our state. In receiving these awards, recipients also become eligible for future nomination for regional and national recognition by the National Art Education Association.

Amy was nominated by her peers to be considered for the WAEA 2013 Secondary Level Art Educator of the Year award. After consideration of a number of nominees, Amy was indeed selected as the recipient of the WAEA 2013 Secondary Level Art Educator of the Year Award. This award will be presented to Ms. Weber Cantrell during WAEA's annual convention’s evening dinner and awards ceremony, to be held at Glacier Peak High School, on Saturday, October 26, 2013, (5:00-6:30).
