EHS Cheerleading And Robotics Heading to State!

EHS Cheerleading:
Kim Westerberg, EHS Cheer Coach reports this past Saturday night, the Enumclaw cheerleading team competed at Kentwood High School where they scored the third highest score of all 26 teams there, and qualified for the 2014 WIAA State Cheerleading Championships at UW's “HEC” Edmundson Pavilion on Saturday, Feb. 1 in the evening.

The kids were amazing and performed a near flawless routine. There were many students and parents from our community there to watch us. It was a great night!

We will compete again this Saturday night at Skyline High School. Our performance is scheduled for 7:30pm.

EHS Robotics:
EHS Club advisor, Jim LovellFord, reports that after exciting preliminary matches, all three teams found themselves in the final rounds in the regional match hosted at Tahoma School District on Sunday, January 12. When the dust settled, two of the Enumclaw teams found themselves moving on to the state tournament. Team 4213 led by P. Crews and Team 5446 led by P. Went will be competing at the state First Tech Competition (FTC) on Sunday, January 26 at Issaquah High School. Opening ceremonies will occur at 11 AM with state finals finishing at 5 PM.

The EHS robotics club would like to thank all those that have encouraged and supported the teams so far this season. We hope that some will find the time and the inclination to come to Issaquah and continue that support as these two teams continue to represent EHS on the path to the super regionals in San Francisco in March.

Go Hornets!
