The Preliminary Scholastic Aptitude Test/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test, commonly known at the PSAT is October 15, 2014.

This test is an inexpensive practice experience for students wanting to take the SAT as a Junior or Senior planning to attend a 4 year college after high school. Juniors who score well will also be considered for the National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test Scholarships. Sophomores and Freshmen may also take the test, but their scores will not be eligible for scholarships.

Enumclaw High School will be giving the PSAT on Wednesday October 15 from 8 a.m. to 12 noon at the Enumclaw High School gym or library. We have a limit of 150 tests, so it’s First Come, First Serve and you must pay by October 1, 2014. The cost is $15.00 to be paid to the bookkeeper. Our bookkeeper is open to receive payments Monday through Thursday before school, during break, during Core Choice and lunch and after school from 2:30 – 2:45 p.m. She is closed on Fridays. Please make your check out to Enumclaw High School.

At the time of payment, you will receive an instruction booklet. Please read this booklet thoroughly as it contains important information regarding the instructions for test taking.

Please plan on arriving at the high school no later than 7:30 a.m. as you must be checked in by a proctor. Please pay special attention to the rules regarding calculators, the high school is unable to provide calculators. The test requires at least two sharpened number 2 pencils and you must bring photo ID. It’s important to read the manual thoroughly to avoid unnecessary errors in test taking.
