FFA District II Young Member of the Year

EHS Teacher, Mark Berryhill has been awarded the FFA District II Young Member of the Year Award, which is awarded to a teacher with 3-5 years of service. The District II Agriculture teachers admire all that Mark has done in Enumclaw FFA. In his 4 years at Enumclaw, he has made great improvements to the program and classes offered to students, as well as adding to our outstanding FFA program. His many community connections have resulted in beneficial partnerships for his students and program. His fellow District II Agriculture teachers have seen the way he connects with and motivates students to challenge themselves in both a shop and leadership setting. Not only does he do all of this, but as a young member, he is a mentor to many other new teachers including our own Kaitlin Norton. It is rare that a young member can be such a strong mentor for new teachers, but he does it, not just for Kaitlin, but for many other new teachers in our area.

Ms. Norton states, "I can say from experience he will answer any question and is supportive in everything I try! He is full of great advice and puts in hours upon hours!"

On January 7th he was nominated and awarded the Young Mentor of the Year in District II, and he will be honored at the state Agriculture Teachers' Conference in June.

Congratulations to Mark Berryhill!
