Libraries Receive Grants

Back

6/9/2016

Enumclaw High School, Black Diamond, Byron Kibler and Westwood Elementary schools were all recipients of grants from the Washington State Library and the Institute of Museum and Library Services to help libraries keep collections up-to-date. Each school received a collection of 53 STEM books for student use.

The librarians at each of the above schools, Dewey Sullivan, Shannon Paladini and Janie Ingroum, applied for the grants in the fall and were selected in December. The goal is to improve our collection and support science and math curriculum and to develop interest in technology and engineering.

In addition to the STEM grant, Enumclaw High School Library is the proud recipient of $1000 for purchasing nonfiction texts. The grant was awarded by the Washington State Library with funds from the Institute of Museum and Information Services.

Thank you to these librarians for their time and effort in applying for these grants, and congratulations on receiving them!
