Open Elementary Library Sessions

Back

8/2/2016

All of our elementary school libraries are open every Tuesday and Thursday from 11:00 to 12:30 this summer. Learn examples of what is happening during this time by teacher Mrs. Horton. She highlighted some of the Kibler Library activities that occurred last week.

“What an exciting week! We are well into our book Geronimo Stilton: The Mona Mouse Code. For our circuit station, we had an animal art project. Students colored their favorite animal and then built circuits to make the animals eyes light up! Tons of fun.

Next week, we will take reading outside. Students will work in pairs to use their reading skills to hunt treasure. Every student will have a map that he or she has to follow to a very important station. At each station, there will be a clue that has to be read. Collect each clue to help find the treasure.”

Every student has also participated in Razkids, made a circuit bubble flute, and enjoyed popsicles during story time.

“If you haven't been to the Kibler library this summer, don't worry! Every day is a new day, with a different activity. If you just want to check out a book that is OK also!!!!! Free bookmarkers are given to everyone who wants them and jolly ranchers to everyone who checks out a book. Come and see what you have been missing!”

Remember, ALL of our elementary libraries are open every Tuesday and Thursday from 11:00 to 12:30 this summer. We hope to see you!
