Hour of Code 2016 at Black Diamond

A variety of students representing Kindergarten through seniors, from every school in the Enumclaw School District participated in an assortment of activities during the exciting series called 'Hour of Code™' during Computer Science Education Week last week. We are proud of our students for their exploration and work in the exciting areas of Computer Science Education, and we want to share some photos and quick videos from their participation. The 'Hour of Code™' is a nationwide initiative by Computer Science Education Week at https://csedweek.org and Code.org at https://code.org/ to introduce millions of students to one hour of computer science and computer programming with the hope of increasing participation by women and underrepresented students of color.

Students can still participate in the coding activities from home with an internet connection, free of charge by visiting "https://code.org/". For those who have never done the ‘Hour of Code™’ before, the basics of the campaign are still the same: Anybody can learn, no experience required, and it only takes an hour.
