Microsoft Guest Enriched “Hour of Code” collage of students with Vidhu

1/06/2016 - Our district was very fortunate to have Mr. Vidhu Janardhanan, a Senior Program Manager from Microsoft working on an Enterprise Security Platform, visit several schools on Thursday, December 10, to provide an overview of "Hour of Code" as well as interact and help students not only successfully create code but learn how to use it more efficiently while they were working on Minecraft, Frozen or Star Wars. Students Use Technology To Share Learning About The Human BodySunrise photos in Human Body

6/17/2015 - Fourth grade students in Mr. Barnett’s class at Sunrise Elementary recently made use of online technology and student laptop devices as part of the culminating event to their study of the human body. After researching and learning about different systems of the human body, these students created interactive displays to share their learning with other classes of students in the school as well as visitors to their classroom.

3/18/2015 - This year Enumclaw High School educator Randy Cook teaches a new Material Science Technology course providing students the opportunity to make glass, ceramics, alloy metals, polymers and composites from raw materials using lab equipment. Students are given an experiment to conduct and then they must create their own. One student experiment found that four pieces of paper could hold 40 pounds demonstrated here in this photo.
