Decision Making Process In Wintry Weather Conditions

Last year, we experienced wintry weather conditions on numerous days! A letter is being sent home to parents containing information we hope you will find helpful in understanding how we make decisions to delay or cancel school and how you can access and be notified about this information. This letter is available in PDF format both in English and Spanish.

EMERGENCY COMMUNICATIONS BULLETIN

TO: All Parents and Students of Enumclaw School District
The emergency communications system is designed to go into operation at 6:00 a.m. Listen to your radio station between 6:00 and 8:00 a.m. if there is doubt about school operating. Please DO NOT CALL THE RADIO STATIONS. If Enumclaw is not specifically mentioned, schools will be operating normally. Any announcement is for that day only unless otherwise stated. Whenever school is closed, ALL ACTIVITIES TO BE HELD IN THE BUILDING THAT DAY ARE AUTOMATICALLY CANCELLED. (Closure information can also be obtained via the Internet at www.enumclaw.wednet.edu or www.schoolreport.org)
Announcements are for one day only.
The radio announcer should say one of the following:
THE FOLLOWING SCHOOLS ARE:
1. CLOSED."
2. OPEN, LIMITED BUS TRANSPORTATION."
3. OPEN, ONE HOUR LATE." OR, OPEN, TWO HOURS LATE - No A.M. Half-Day Kindergarten, Preschool or ECEAP.."
"Limited" means buses will not travel on the following roads or areas for the entire day:
