Welcome Kindergarten Student
Kindergarten can be a new experience for a 5 or 6 year old. We hope this information helps answer some of your questions before the first day of school.
We encourage you to attend your child's school orientation meeting. It is at this meeting that you will receive valuable busing information including a bus assignment. Local newspapers will have bus schedules printed in their papers one to two weeks prior to the start of school. The transportation office does not open until the week before school starts.
We require an adult to be present to receive all kindergarten students from the buses.
During the first few weeks of school, you should plan on buses running off schedule due to route adjustments and student concerns.
Bus Drivers cannot change or add stops to their routes; all changes require research by the transportation department. Please check that your daycare is in your school's boundary.
We ask that you put first and last names and phone numbers in their backpacks. This helps us in contacting you if needed. Together, we make Kindergarten a great experience!
