How do I find out what school my child(ren) will attend within the district?
The Transportation Department at 360-802-7232 will be able to determine this for you.
How do I enroll my child in the school district?
Call the school directly for more information about the enrollment process. You may find the school phone number on the Schools page of the website, or by calling the district office at 360-802-7100.
Are vaccines required for school attendance?
Before or on a child's first day of school attendance, proof of either full immunization, an initiation of a schedule of immunizations or a certificate of exemption as provided for in RCW28A.210.090 must be provided to the school. The Washington State Department of Health has provided a list of vaccines required for school attendance during the 2011-2012 school year in PDF format. Is there a form to fill out if I want to make a public information request?
If you would like to make a request for public information (RCW 42.56.), please complete the Public Records Disclosure form and email it to Diana Aaby who is our public records officer at firstname.lastname@example.org or fax to 360.802.7140. The form can also be dropped off or mailed to the Enumclaw School District - Attn: Diana Aaby - 2929 McDougall Avenue - Enumclaw, WA. You can make your request in written form, e.g. email or letter, if your prefer. Once we receive the request, we will confirm receipt and give you an idea of the timeline involved in gathering the requested information.
What if we want our child(ren) to attend Enumclaw district schools, but we live out of the district?
You must complete the Release of Attendance process at your resident school district. Once this is completed, the form will be entered on the on-line site to be approved by the Enumclaw School District. The waiver process must be completed every year. What if we live within Enumclaw district schools, but we want our child(ren) to attend an out of district school?
You must obtain a Choice Transfer Request(pdf) form which you can complete and email to Diana Aaby or bring to the district office. The form will be entered on-line for the receiving district to approve. You will receive email notification when the process has been completed. A new waiver must be submitted every year. What if we want our child(ren) to attend a school outside our attendance area within the Enumclaw School District?
You must obtain an Intradistrict Waiver (pdf) which you can print from home, or from Diana Aaby in the district office which must be signed by both schools' principals and the superintendent. What if we want to homeschool our child(ren)?
A parent who plans to cause their child or children to receive home-based instruction in lieu of attendance or enrollment in a public school, approved private school, or an extension program of an approved private school must file an annual declaration of intent to do so by submitting the Declaration of Intent to Provide Home-Based Instruction form. What form do I complete if my student is enrolling full-time in an on-line program, such as the Internet Academy or WAVA?
You will need to complete the Choice Transfer Request form to be released from the district to an on-line program by clicking here. The waiver must be completed every year. For additional information, please call Diana Aaby at 360.802.7102, or email her at firstname.lastname@example.org.
What if my student is attending an on-line school AND taking a class(es) in the Enumclaw School District?
You will need to complete the Interdistrict Agreement form to be released from the district part-time to an on-line program (click here). Please be sure to complete the class information in both the resident and non-resident schools to equal a 1.0 FTE (5 classes total between the two entities). The waiver must be completed every year. How do I obtain a GED form?
Visit the counseling office at Enumclaw High School to obtain the necessary form. A high school release form, also obtained at the counseling office, is required for those students attending Green River Community College. The counseling office may be reached at 360-802-7697 for more information.
