New Assistant Principal at Thunder Mountain Middle School

Virginia comes to us from the South Central School District having spent the past four years as Assistant Principal at Foster High School. In addition to her administrative experience, Virginia has five years teaching experience as a science teacher at the high school level.

Virginia received her Bachelor of Science degree from Washington State University in 1990. She is endorsed in Biology and Chemistry. In 1997 she completed her Masters degree in School Administration at Pacific Lutheran University. Foster High School is a Gates Grant recipient and has been working on the development and implementation of small learning communities. Virginia has been responsible for the staff development related to school reform as well as managing student services. She has provided leadership in the area of establishing a comprehensive approach to the teaching of reading at the high school level. As can be seen, Virginia brings a diverse set of skills and experiences that will be beneficial to the students and staff of the Enumclaw School District.
