Tsunami Relief

Many of our schools are raising money for the Tsunami relief efforts. Below you will find a breakdown by school with more detailed information.

Black Diamond Elementary

Nothing has been planned at this time. To find out if there will be a fundraiser in the near future, please call the main office at 360.802.7570.

J.J. Smith Elementary

J.J. Smith will be collecting aluminum cans for the Tsumani relief in a team effort. Students will be crushing the cans, and parents have volunteered to take them to Auburn recycling. If you have any questions or need additional information, please call the main office at 360.802.7316.

Kibler Elementary

Kibler is holding a coin drive titled Children Helping Children. There is a bear jug in the main office where anyone is welcome to drop off coins. All the money raised will be going to Unisef's Tsunami relief efforts. This will last approximately one month. Southwood Elementary

So far Southwood has collected $320.00 with their coin drive. It will last through next Friday, January 14th, and the proceeds will be deposited at Washington Mutual. Sunrise Elementary

Sunrise is holding a coin drive as well with a jar in the office. Anyone is welcome to drop off coins. No deadline has been established at this time. Westwood Elementary

Next week only, January 10th - 14th, Westwood ASB will not be holding their student store, popcorn or cookie sales. They are asking students to donate the money they would usually spend on the above items to the relief fund. Enumclaw Middle School

Nothing definite has been established at this time. To find out if there will be a fundraiser in the near future, please call Verna Ditty, office manager, at 360.802.7153.

Thunder Mountain Middle School

Thunder Mountain is officially moving forward with their "Tsunami Relief Dollar Drive". They are beginning money collection on Thursday, January 13, and will run it through January 21. The goal is to raise $2000.

They are looking for parent volunteers to monitor the money collection and counting each day. The ASB kids have not decided on a charity yet but will probably give the donation to someplace like Red Cross. Enumclaw High School

Several efforts are under way to raise money for the Tsunami relief efforts. Teacher Rob Lightbody and his Physical Science students are working on selling fundraiser bracelets similar to the Lance Armstrong bracelets, and a possible dinner is in the planning stages as well.
