All State Band
Outstanding music students from across Washington have received top honors by being selected to participate in the 53rd annual Washington Music Educators Association All-State Band, Orchestra and Choir.

Hometown Hero Award
The Enumclaw Chamber of Commerce hosted their Thanks for Giving appreciation dinner to recognize businesses, organizations and individuals for their contributions to our community.

Kibler Craft Sale
A craft sale and raffle is held at Kibler every year during the first week of December.

Advisory Panel
The Enumclaw School District Board of Directors is seeking individuals to serve on the Superintendent Interview Advisory Panel.

Community Book Club
This is a joint effort of the Enumclaw Public Library, Enumclaw School District, Lindon Book Store and the Enumclaw Chamber of Commerce.

Dr. Jarvis Appointment
At the regular Board meeting on Monday night, Dr. Jarvis notified the Board that he has accepted a new position with the Seattle Public Schools to be the Chief Financial Officer.

At a special board meeting our Board of Directors unanimously appointed Mike Nelson as Interim Superintendent.

Makeup Days/Calendar Change
Our district was closed on the following four dates due to a windstorm caused power outage in the area and hazardous road conditions due to the snow and ice.

Individual Assessment Testing
Each year, we give our K-4 students the opportunity to take the qualifying assessment for placement into the Individual Achievement (I.A.) Program. This year we will be offering a second round of testing.

Superintendent Site Visits
Site visits are being scheduled for this week by the Enumclaw School District Board of Directors in an effort to continue to evaluate the qualifications of applicants for the position of Superintendent. 

Westwood Letter to Parents
As a parent of two children in our school system myself, I feel the first message that I need to share is that all of our students and staff members at Westwood Elementary are safe. 

New Superintendent
At a Special Board Meeting held on Monday, February 19 the Enumclaw School District Board of Directors voted 4-1 to name Mike Nelson to the position of Superintendent of Schools.

Westwood Destination Imagination
A group of third grade students from Westwood Elementary competed at Destination Imagination's regional level last weekend.

Board Meeting Debrief
The board will be available between 6:00 and 6:45 p.m. to debrief with community members on the superintendent selection process.  

New Online Resources
Parents, students and families now have two new websites which offer an abundance of information regarding the WASL and the new graduation requirements.

Strings Solo Ensemble
The Enumclaw High School Cello section swept top honors at the Green River Music Region Solo/Ensemble Contest on March 17 at Kent Meridian High School.

We are excited to move forward with piloting the ESD's SWIFT (The Simplified Web Interface for Teachers).
