2008 Golf State Champions

The Enumclaw High School Girls Golf team won the 2008 State Championship this afternoon at Shuksan Golf Course in Bellingham. Team scoring for the 36-hole event over two days came out with Enumclaw 102.5, Holy Names Academy 83, Interlake 71, Bainbridge 61.5 and Shelton 47.5. This is the first state title for the girls team after finishing second a year ago. Top individual honors for the Hornets went to junior M. Koplitz who finished in a tie for 6th with rounds of 82 and 80 over the par 72 layout.

Congratulations to the team of K. Case, S. Henry, M. Koplitz, J. Parker, M. Paschich, and T. Schreiner along with coaches Bob Kilmer, Phil Engebretsen, Steve Murphy and Bob Burke.
