Enumclaw High School Hires Don Bartel as English Teacher and Football Coach

February 1, 2008
For Immediate Release

After a rigorous application and interview process that included a focus on teaching and coaching abilities, Enumclaw High School Principal David Dorn announced the selection of Don Bartel as the new English teacher and Head Football Coach. “Don was one of the most student motivating candidates we have met. His enthusiasm and energy will bring excitement to the classroom as well as on the football field. Our students will benefit from his talents and relationships for many years to come!”

Don comes to Enumclaw from Eastlake High School where he currently teaches English and is the defensive coordinator for the varsity football team. Don brings many gifts to the classroom and to the football program. For the last two years at Eastlake High School, Don was selected by students to be the faculty speaker at their graduation ceremony. He brings a perspective of a well balanced football program with successful experiences that range from youth programs to the college level.

Although Don will officially begin his responsibilities in August 2008, he will also be a part of important transition activities this spring including English department meetings and leading the spring football camp for Hornet athletes.

Don and his wife look forward to becoming an active part of our community.
