TMMS Principal Opening and input

Dear Community Members,

Thunder Mountain Principal Darin Adams has accepted the Principal position at Mt. Baker Middle School in Auburn. The position of TMMS Principal for the 2008-09 school year is currently posted throughout our region and state. The position is currently open until filled which will allow our school district to interview candidates as they apply.

Kathy Lockyer (our Human Resources Director) and I would like to invite you to contribute your wisdom in the selection process. Below are two ways to give us information:

  1. Listed below are the proficiencies of the principal as they were listed on the job posting. Please take a look at them and give me information on what you feel are the most important for TMMS. Also, you can share with Kathy Lockyer and me any insights, personal opinions, ideas, etc. that you might like to make sure we read. I assure you that we will read and review each email, letter and note. Often we will design interview questions around the attributes that are listed on the job posting as well as themes, we will hear from staff.

  2. We are tentatively reserving July 16th for a possible day to interview potential candidates. If you are interested in being a part of the interview team and are available on the 16th, please contact Kathy Lockyer in the HR department. Our hope is to have 2-3 staff members to join the team for this process.

I know you will join me in celebrating Darin and his new position in Auburn.

Again, please let Kathy Lockyer and me know your insights and wisdom.
