McKinney-Vento Homeless Education Assistance Act

Under the McKinney-Vento Homeless Education Assistance Act, homelessness is defined as inadequate living accommodations because you cannot find or are unable to afford housing.

If you are living in a shelter, motel, vehicle, campground or on the street, in an abandoned building, trailer, or other temporary accommodations, such as doubled up with friends or relatives, you have certain rights and resources available. Contact our counselor for more information.

Scholarship Opportunities

7th and 8th graders: It's not too early to be thinking about College!

Washington State Legislature has established the College Bound Scholarship Washington Program. This scholarship will pay for tuition, fees, and books at most private and public colleges and community colleges in Washington for 7th and 8th grade students who qualify.

7th Grade students also have the opportunity to apply for the Young Scholars Program. This selective pre-college scholarship is for high-performing 7th grade students with financial need.
