Westwood Families and Community - Summer is here and school is out for our kids! We hope that these next two months are full of fun, rest and adventures for our students and families! We also hope that it is a time of learning and exploration. Educational research tells us that our students experience a "summer slide" in academics, regressing by two months. To help prevent this, we want to share engaging resources and events for your child to participate in during the summer months!

Westwood's Summer Challenge - Can your child beat our Summer Challenge? Each grade level has been challenged to complete reading, outside play activities, math and writing tasks over the course of these next 8 weeks! If your child beats the challenge he or she will participate in the Summer Challenge reward party in September! See the links below for your student's Summer Challenge:

Beat the Summer Slide Event - Mark your calendars for August 7, from 11:30 -1:30. In partnership with PTO, Westwood students and families are invited to come out to our playground to play on a bouncy slide, restock on free books and enjoy a free lunch! Hope to see you there!
