Dear Volunteer,

You are greatly appreciated for offering your time and talents to help at Southwood Elementary. To clarify the items required to complete your application, please see below:

* Fill out the Volunteer Application

* Fill out the Volunteer Applicant Disclosure Form

* Give the written reference forms to two people that will write a reference for you. These reference forms are required in order to complete the application process. These forms are included in the volunteer packet. Please have two different references fill out the forms. Return all forms to the Southwood office or mail to:

* You must attend a Volunteer Orientation before you begin. (You may attend an orientation before your paperwork is complete) Please check with the office for scheduled orientations

* Once both references have been returned and the disclosure form has cleared at the district office, your application will be processed and you will receive a letter informing you of your volunteer status.

All of the packet items must be submitted 2 week prior to volunteering or attending a field trip, but no later than Nov. 20, 2009 for the 2009-10 school year.
