On Friday afternoon we were informed that a special government agreement has been reached with Verizon which allows the Enumclaw School District to obtain hotspots at nearly half the usual cost. As a result, we were able to place an additional order of hotspots to provide to our ESD families. This order, that we're expecting to arrive in the coming weeks, will allow us to fulfill ALL of the 300+ hotspot requests that have been submitted. We truly appreciate your patience and understanding as we navigate this new process for our school district. We wish that these latest hotspots could have been here before school begins, but we are happy to take advantage of this special pricing agreement and be able to meet ALL the requested needs of our students and families.
For our families that have already submitted a request, as soon as your Verizon hotspot is configured and ready to pick up, we will contact you directly. If you have not completed our survey, please complete the applicable survey below:
We are currently checking out our available hotspots in the following process:
Phase I: Families with no internet access at all. We are currently using our available hotspots to checkout to these families.
Phase II: For families who have indicated that they have some internet access, but need additional support, we are waiting for our new order of hotspots to arrive in the coming weeks. For our families that have already submitted a request, as soon as your Verizon hotspot is configured and ready to pick up, we will contact you directly.
At-School Internet Access: For families who live in areas where a hotspot will not work or who are waiting for a hotspot, each of our schools is in the process of scheduling on-site “Internet Cafe” locations and hours for very small groups of students to come to the school site to access their online learning materials on a scheduled basis.
