Accepting K-12 Highly Capable
Referrals for Fall or Spring Testing

Highly Capable students are students who perform or show potential for performing at
significantly advanced academic levels when compared with others of their age, experiences, or environments. The identification of highly capable students is a multi-
step process that begins with notification, referral, parent permissions, assessment and/or screening. The parent permission form is available in school offices or online.

Fall Referrals are due by October 8, 2021.
Testing will occur between November 1-30, 2021.

Spring Referrals are due by April 8, 2022.

Testing will occur between May 2-27, 2022.

*Note* All 2nd Graders are screened in March.
