Steven Stoker

At TMMS, we are committed to partnering with families to ensure each student reaches their full potential both academically and socially. Establishing positive communication and relationships with students and parents is important to all staff members.

Our curriculum offers a wide variety of subject matter designed to promote reflection and exploration appropriate for adolescent children.

The Thunder Mountain Middle School staff members recognize the importance of students’ middle school experiences in building student self-esteem and fostering academic success. In addition to providing students with strong academic skills, we also strive for our students to become contributing citizens to the Thunder Mountain and local communities in which our families reside. By working together, we can create a community of learners who will make it possible to achieve success at Thunder Mountain Middle School.

Our ultimate goal is to help each student become their best self.

We welcome your open and honest feedback. Feedback is accepted face-to-face, written, or electronically. Please send written and electronic information to the school building’s main office or the District office. We also offer a variety of committees that parents and citizens can participate in.

Learning Spaces and Features

Thunder Mountain Middle School opened in the Fall of 2000. The facility is organized into three “neighborhoods”.  Each neighborhood consists of eight classrooms and a project room. Each classroom has a Smartboard and a computer workstation. Structuring the school into “neighborhoods” has allowed for the development of close relationships between students and staff members, and stronger partnerships between teachers and families.  This allows staff members to provide immediate support to students who would benefit from additional challenge or who require additional support to succeed. The building has a total of 39 classrooms, Library, Commons, Stage, Culinary lab, and administration area.
