On April 22, 2025, voters in the Enumclaw School District will have the opportunity to vote on a capital levy to fund urgent facility repairs, student health and safety improvements, and critical infrastructure needs.
DID YOU KNOW?
The Enumclaw School District serves approximately 450 square miles. We are a geographically large district, transporting students from near Auburn, Cumberland, Selleck, Ravensdale, Greenwater, Enumclaw, and Black Diamond.
The proposed list of levy projects includes approximately $100,000 for Bus GPS and Bus radio replacements:
🚌Transportation: Bus GPS
In case of an emergency (accidents, medical issues, breakdowns), GPS allows for quick location tracking, enabling faster response from emergency services. Additionally, real-time tracking can be crucial for safety and timely communication during snowy seasons or inclement weather, and school staff and families can monitor the exact location of buses in real time, reducing the risk of lost or delayed buses.
🚌Transportation: Bus Radio Replacements
Digital radios enable faster, more reliable communication, especially during emergencies like accidents, severe weather, or medical incidents. Digital radios provide superior sound quality with less background noise, even in areas with weak signals—a critical advantage in Enumclaw’s mix of urban and rural terrain, ensuring consistent communication between drivers and dispatch.
