Sunrise Elementary Leadership Team Supports Holiday Helping Hands Toy Drive

Sunrise Elementary School’s Leadership Team recently volunteered with Plateau Kids Network during the Holiday Helping Hands Toy Drive, supporting a long-standing Enumclaw effort to help local children and families during the Christmas season.

Supported by Ms. Strand, student leaders worked alongside community volunteers to unload trucks and organize donations, helping keep this busy operation running smoothly.

Holiday Helping Hands is a local Christmas gift assistance program for Enumclaw families in need. Coordinated by Plateau Kids Network in partnership with the Enumclaw Fire Department, the program collects toys and food each season and hosts a Giving Day in December for pre-registered families at the Enumclaw Expo Center.

For Sunrise students, the volunteer shift was a chance to practice leadership through service. Sunrise is proud of our students for representing the school with care and responsibility, and for demonstrating our school motto: we are a school family, we choose kindness, and we care for each other.
