Dancing Classrooms is in full swing today at Southwood (pun intended)! The fifth graders have been having a great time learning different dances over the last several weeks and have been doing a great job! Thank you, Enumclaw Schools Foundation and Southwood PTO for helping bring this program to Southwood!

Share Fair yesterday was hit! The kids all did such a good job on their boards, as well as presenting to the other classrooms. It was so special watching the kids ask each other about their projects and seeing them be so interested in what the other had to say! And what a great turnout last night from the families! We also went above and beyond our goal for the food drive with a total of 2040 items!! Way to go, Panther Community!! Have a great mid-winter break, you've earned it!

Tomorrow is the last day for food drive donations and we're almost at our goal!!Don't forget that the two classes that collect the most get an ice cream party!

We are having quite the Valentine's Day here at Southwood! Mrs. Bubnick's 4th-grade class started the day with a special breakfast, while Mrs. Emerson's 3rd graders "charted" their hearts during math! Mrs. Markquart's kindergarteners did Valentine's rotations during their morning, and there was a surprise festive table set up at lunch!

Tomorrow, February 15th, is Share Fair Day.
Students will have the opportunity to share their projects with students and staff, during the school day.
We invite families to view student projects during our evening Share Fair Open House from 5:30 - 6:30 pm. Student projects will be on display in classrooms. You are welcome to visit any or all of the classrooms.
In addition, lost and found will be spread out on the gymnasium stage for families to look through.
We can't wait for you to see what our amazing students have to share

FAMILY RESOURCE FAIR:

You did it, Panthers!! 100 days smarter, 100 days taller, 100 days closer to summer!! Way to go!!

We've gotten February off to a great start here at Southwood! Last Thursday, the Fifth-grade students came together to perform a music concert here at school. They have been working hard over the last couple of months to practice their performance, and it turned out amazing! We also had our Panther Pride assembly on Friday, where students who exemplified the monthly skill of "Choices" were given a Panther Award. Way to go, Panthers!
