The new elementary school will serve families in Ten Trails and surrounding areas as the district continues to plan for long-term growth.

What is a Planning Principal?

A Planning Principal plays a critical leadership role before a school opens. This leader is responsible for helping design the vision, culture, and educational program of the new school. They work closely with district leaders, staff, and the community to:

  • Develop the school’s identity and student/family experience

  • Support the hiring and onboarding of staff

  • Provide input on building design and learning spaces

  • Build strong relationships with families and community partners

  • Ensure a successful and smooth school opening

  • Serve as the school's principal

This position helps lay the foundation for a school that reflects the values and priorities of the community it serves.

Join the Process
Finalist interviews are open to the public, and community feedback is a valued part of the selection process. Attendees will have the opportunity to hear from candidates and share input that will help inform the district’s decision.
