While the school doors may be closed for summer break, the work across Enumclaw School District is in full swing. Behind the scenes, our dedicated employees are hard at work ensuring that every school, classroom, and system is ready to welcome students back this fall.
Summer is one of the busiest times for our facilities, grounds, technology, fiscal, and administrative teams. Their efforts are essential to providing safe, welcoming, and high-performing learning environments for our students and staff.
Our facilities team is tackling essential building repairs and maintenance throughout the district to help extend the life of our buildings and support the learning needs of our students.
Our grounds crew is busy with landscaping, maintaining athletic fields, improving outdoor spaces, and maintaining McDougall Avenue, among other projects. Their work enhances both the beauty and functionality of our schools.
Our technology department is upgrading and maintaining systems, installing new devices, and preparing classrooms to support 21st-century learning. Reliable technology infrastructure is critical for student success, and summer is when we make sure every device, network, and digital resource is ready to go on day one.
In addition to this work, several of our teachers are providing summer tutoring and academic support to help students stay on track and build confidence for the upcoming year. Our Nutrition Services team also continues to provide summer meals, ensuring that students in our community have access to nutritious food even when school is not in session. These programs reflect our ongoing commitment to student well-being and academic success beyond the traditional school calendar.
Finally, our district and administrative teams continue planning, hiring, budgeting, preparing curriculum, and coordinating to ensure a smooth start to the new school year. From providing professional development opportunities to aligning resources that support academic excellence, their work over the summer sets the stage for a successful year ahead.
Summer is not a time of pause for the Enumclaw School District. It is a time of preparation, progress, and purpose. We are working diligently this summer with the resources available to ensure that our facilities, technology, and learning environments remain functional and ready to support student growth when the new school year begins.
We are grateful for the continued support of our community and look forward to welcoming everyone back this fall.
