UPDATE: Students and staff are safe. Law enforcement has confirmed the device in the Enumclaw Middle School courtyard was a cell phone battery that caught fire after being thrown to the ground. The fire was immediately extinguished. We have confirmed there were no injuries. Students and staff are still safely evacuated, and law enforcement has cleared the school and surrounding exterior. We will provide you with any additional information once it has been received.

Enumclaw Middle School has been evacuated by the Enumclaw Police Department after a small explosive device detonated outside in the school courtyard. Students and staff are safely evacuated. We will provide updates as soon as we receive them.

REMINDER: To recover lost instructional time from closures during the November Cyclone windstorm, Friday, March 21, and Friday, May 23, are now REGULAR SCHOOL DAYS. Please note that these are NOT early release days, as they must meet state instructional hour requirements.

Due to weather conditions, all Enumclaw School District schools will operate on a two-hour delay. There will be no out-of-district transportation. AM/PM Buses are running on snow routes. Our early release schedule is cancelled and students will attend school until the regular release time. Birth to Five Programs: TK will operate on a two-hour delay. ECEAP and Developmental Preschool are canceled.

Register now for the Spring 2025 Guiding Good Choices workshop provided by Enumclaw Youth Empowered.
Enumclaw Youth Empowered is a local coalition working to educate, engage, and empower our community to support youth and families in the prevention of youth substance abuse.
In partnership with the Enumclaw School District, they will once again be offering Guiding Good Choices on Tuesdays this October.
This workshop is FREE to parents and caregivers of kids ages roughly 9-14. DINNER and CHILDCARE are included!
Taught by a licensed therapist specializing in youth, this workshop helps caregivers learn how to:
Strengthen family bonds
Reduce family conflict
Support kids to build resistance skills
Set clear family rules to keep kids safe and make positive choices
