The Board of Directors is responsible for providing leadership and oversight for the District. Its primary duties include hiring, supervising, and evaluating the superintendent, as well as establishing the district’s vision, mission, and strategic goals. The Board reviews, revises, and adopts district policies and is responsible for establishing and overseeing the district’s budget. Additionally, Board members serve as representatives of the community and monitor the district’s progress toward achieving its stated objectives.

We offer a special thank you to former President Julianne DeShayes for her four-years of service, and tireless commitment to understanding and uniting all segments of the District community.

Update: Due to ongoing power outages at Enumclaw Middle School, Southwood Elementary, and Sunrise Elementary, school is canceled for these three schools only. All activities planned at these three schools are also canceled. All other schools will still operate on a two-hour delay to ensure our buildings are warm and systems are operational for students. Thank you to the PSE and utility teams who continue to work to restore power.

We are actively monitoring power outages across the district. At this time, Black Diamond Elementary, Enumclaw Middle School, Southwood Elementary, and Sunrise Elementary are without power. Due to these outages, all schools will operate on a two-hour delay. Please note there will be no out-of-district transportation. Buses will run on normal routes.

We will continue to monitor the situation. If power is not restored, we will reassess and provide families and staff with any updates. We appreciate your understanding and patience as we work to ensure the safety and well-being of our students, staff, and families. Thank you to our PSE and utility teams for working to restore our power!

Due to ongoing weather conditions, all Enumclaw School District schools will operate on a ONE-HOUR DELAY TOMORROW, including transitional kindergarten. Early release schedule remains in effect. There will be no out-of-district transportation.

Bus stops along the Watson and Jewell St neighborhood will be on alternative routes. Please check your email for alternative stop information.

12/11/25 7:45 AM: UPDATE: Due to worsening weather conditions and obstructed roadways, all Enumclaw School District schools are closed today. All activities and athletics are canceled.

REMINDER: Schools in the Enumclaw School District are closed Monday, December 22, 2025 - Friday, January 2, 2026. The District Office will be closed December 24 - 26, and 31, 2025, and January 1, 2026.

Thank you to everyone who helped make the Enumclaw Middle School and Thunder Mountain Middle School food drives a success! Because of your efforts, we were able to drop off 2,180 pounds of food donations at our local food bank this week. EMS 8th-grade Leadership and ASB students also helped POM sort all of the donations today! Way to go!

Reminder: All ESD buildings will be closed Thursday, November 27, and Friday, November 28, for Thanksgiving Break.

REMINDER: The school board meeting originally scheduled for this evening has been rescheduled for Monday, November 24, 2025.

Reminder: November 20 - 26, 2025, are half days with early release times for school conferences. Elementary schools release at 12:15 pm, Enumclaw Middle School & Enumclaw High School at 11:15 am, and Thunder Mountain Middle School at 11:25 am each day during this time.
